Sörbyn lodge is located just on the outskirts of the small village of Sörbyn. With just under 200 inhabitants. Sörbyn Lodge offers activities in an almost unlimited area, which stretches from the coast up to Dundret mountain, 200 km farther up the Råne river. Here you can find, except peace and quiet, free waters, endless forests, vast wetlands treeless mountains. Together with our partners and guides, you can choose between a broad spectrum of close-to-nature activities and adventures.
The culinary side of Sörbyn is our restaurant Kallkällan (The Spring) and it is run with the aim of constantly developing our local cuisine. Mostly, we work with organic produce from the immediate area, which we complement with delicacies from other parts of the world. This is how we achieve an array of flavours based on traditional Swedish dishes with global finesse. This is where you will enjoy the amazing taste of Swedish Lapland.
Our spring water comes from the underground sources of Lake Vitträsket, and no chemical purification is needed. We serve it straight or if wished slightly sparkling. Our bar holds a wide range of wine, beer and spirits. The wines are carefully selected to match our menus, and of course there are alternatives just for social drinks in the evening, when it is time so sum up the days experiences. Our beer ranges from classic Czech lagers to locally produced beers. There are aperitifs and drinks like single malt whisky, cognacs and different liquors.
It takes a village
The story of Sörbyn Lodge is inspiring. Led by several local families and with moral and financial support from most of the local villagers it was designed and built to provide a place that could be a central focus in the village and provide a sustainable place for local people to work and play.
Today it is a terrific success story with a reputation for great food and hospitality and as a place of employment for local people who take pride in taking great care of their local and international guests.
